Women-"Conquering Codependency"-This group will help you recognize the painful problems of co-dependency, as well as the compulsion to fix everyone and everything. We will be using the book "Conquering Codependency" by Pat Springle, 2015 (updated edition). This is a 12 week course and will meet weekly. Please take the quiz "Am I CoDependent?"

Cost: $300.00. No refunds, as this allows for continuity and accountability to the group process.  We take all credit cards or payment can be made with cash, or checks.  If you are unable to physically drive to the office, we use a web based program which enables you to dial in on your computer and join the group.  We will be able to see you and you can see us.  This will be especially helpful when bad weather hits our area or if there are babyitting issues, etc. If you miss a session, call Carol for a brief overview of material. If you need to miss several sessions, a credit will be applied towards future workshops or groups.

Women-"Boundaries"-“Physical boundaries help us determine who may touch us and under what circumstances -- Mental boundaries give us the freedom to have our own thoughts and opinions -- Emotional boundaries help us to deal with our own emotions and disengage from the harmful, manipulative emotions of others -- Spiritual boundaries help us to distinguish God's will from our own and give us renewed awe for our Creator -- Often, Christians focus so much on being loving and unselfish that they forget their own limits and limitations. When confronted with their lack of boundaries, they ask:

  • Can I set limits and still be a loving person?

  • What are legitimate boundaries?

  • What if someone is upset or hurt by my boundaries?

  • How do I answer someone who wants my time, love, energy, or money?

  • Aren't boundaries selfish?

  • Why do I feel guilty or afraid when I consider setting boundaries?

Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend offer biblically-based answers to these and other tough questions, showing us how to set healthy boundaries with our parents, spouses, children, friends, co-workers, and even ourselves.”

This will be a 5-week workshop opportunity for those who struggle with defining and implementing healthy boundaries:

We need minimum of 5 participants per workshop.  Please invite your friends to take advantage of this opportunity.  This will be for women only.

We would also like to do one especially designed for singles, so if you would be interested in this, please email Erica at: Erica@lifecca.com. We will need a minimum of 5 participants.

We ask that you purchase and begin reading the book: Boundaries by Henry Cloud and John Townsend.

This workshop focuses on understanding stress and anxiety and creating successful strategies for dealing with difficult issues and emotions.  Life circumstances can be very difficult and in order to process these hard times succesfully we need to understand what is a the root of our stress and anxiety. For example, it is important to understand that there are difficult people in the world and there are people who create stress in our lives.  We need to have the tools to be able to work with these people and through these circumstances so that we are able to have the peace of the Holy Spirit.

The workshop will be 12 weeks, meeting one night a week. In order to provide flexibility, attendance can be face-to-face, web based or by telephone. There will be homework to be done prior to each meeting. The homework consists of reading, answering questions, and writing down your thoughts as you read through the workbook.

Group cost: TBD

Cost of the workbook, "The Worry Workbook", is around $12.00 and can be purchased on Amazon.

Minimum of 4 attendees required.
